How to change a starter in a 2001 dodge caravan?

cant find the bolts for the starterHow to change a starter in a 2001 dodge caravan?
well they have to be there. is there any kind of plastic shrouding around the starter?? you may have to jack it up and pull whatever lower airdams the factory put in place off to properly be able to see it.

personally. I'd look at your replacement starter while its on the ground and then use that as a reference when under the car to find the bolts via the replacement starter's bolt hole locations...you may have to pull the replacement under the car with you and rotate it in your hands to get it to look like the one on the car before you can start to properly feel around for the bolts. How to change a starter in a 2001 dodge caravan?
The starter on these vehicles bolts into the transaxle bellhousing, with the bolts actually coming through from the trans side and threading into the starter. You will see the bolt heads just to the driver's side of the front engine mount. Look at the new starter, and you will see the two threaded holes near the bendix where they bolt in.

And remember to disconnect the battery FIRST.
