i own a repair shop,and its easier to remove the breather parts and bring it up through the top,,its hard to get it out the bottom of the vehicle it can be done though,,but you,ll see what i mean with the breather ,it will come up through the top,with less effort,,good luck,i hope this help,s.How do you change the starter in a 1988 Mazda 626?
Hopefully you also disconnected the battery? Also you need to remove any connecting wires. The with bolts removed and all wires disconnected pull it straight out. You may have to giggle it a bit to get it started.
