Changing starters on trucks and SUVs is usually pretty easy; they're up high enough that you can get to it easily and it's just two or three bolts. They're usually on there pretty snug so hopefully you have a good socket wrench. How hard is it to change a starter on a 1998 ford explorer?
No not really. Just remember to unplug the battery before you star unhooking wires. Then its just two bolts, two plugs and the power wire on the back side of the alternator. It will take you about half an hour. Good luck. How hard is it to change a starter on a 1998 ford explorer?
If you have tools it's easy. But then rebuilding transmissions is easy too.
