How hard is to change the starter on a boat engine?

Engine is a 4 cylinder Mercruiser inboard/outboard. Is it just a case of removing bolts and swapping it out with a new one, or is there more to it?How hard is to change the starter on a boat engine?
Disconnect the battery.

Remove the rear mounting bracket from the engine block.

Remove the 2 mounting bolts and discard. If there are shims between the starter and block, save them.

Disconnect the wiring harness.

Installation is the reverse, reuse the shims, use new starter bolts, do not over-tighten ( approx. 30 ft. lbs.)

These instructions are for Mercruiser 4 cyl GM blocks. For Mercruiser 470 series, contact me.How hard is to change the starter on a boat engine?
not hard at all unless it's been in salt water and the bolts are so corroded they break upon removal, then it's a serious pain in the @$$, but if it's a fresh water boat and you don't have a corrosion issue it's easier than it looks, just remember to disconnect the battery first. How hard is to change the starter on a boat engine?
what crash said - also make sure you new starter is a marine rated, no car parts....don't want to crash and burn.
