Do you think I can change my own starter?

so i have wrenches and extensions and a little booklet that says how to put it in. some of it looks confusing. im the type that can figure this stuff out though. do you think a person can put it in themselves by following a booklet thing and no one elses help? or should i just take it to the shop. Its for a Nissan Sentra 2005Do you think I can change my own starter?

Remain calm and give it a try. It is not too bad on those little 4 cylinders. I say go for it. Do you think I can change my own starter?
if you have the tools to work you should be able to do that one, nissan is one of the easiest cars there is to work on,if you,ll disconnect the battery cable before you start doing this and watch how it comes off you can do it,take your time with it that's the key to getting it done right and not having to do it over again, good luck.Do you think I can change my own starter?
YES! Changing a starter is extremely easy. Usually there only two wires (In some case three) but even if there is three no big deal.If you don't have a good memory just put different color tape on each wire you take off and the same color tape on the screw or bolt you took that wire off of. When you get the new starter just move the tape from the old starter to the new one and match it up when you put it in. There will usually be 2 to 4 mounting bolts when you take it out and put it back in. The only hard part is holding the starter back up while you connect the wires back up under the car. I little trick is if you take the clamp of the wires that come down to the starter it sometimes gives you enough slack to hook up the starter without lifting it up first then reconnect everything and your good to go. Good luck
