I have a 96 sunfire GT and it is having trouble starting the starter turns over very slow

sometimes it will catch and start up sometimes it takes a few more times...also the battery light comes on and off when im driving, we have changed the starter, the alternator and i tried putting a different battery in and all the problems are still there any suggestions as to what this might be, my dad is a class a mechanic and has been for almost 25 years and is puzzled does anyone have any ideas as to what it may be? any ideas are welcome and a similar experience and how it was solved will also help thanks alot!I have a 96 sunfire GT and it is having trouble starting the starter turns over very slow

it sounds like a starter electrical problem maybe check the voltage going to the starter and to the solenoid and check the solenoid which is probably either on the starter or on the fender wallI have a 96 sunfire GT and it is having trouble starting the starter turns over very slow
check to make sure your ground wires are all tight expecially the ones to the alternator ............
