Why doens't my honda crx sometimes doesn't start up?

i got a crx with a b18b swap and msd ignition.

a couple of weeks ago it was getting hard to start the car. i woudl have to turn the key but it was just click... so i would have to turn the key rapidly and it would turn on eventually.

so i got the starter changed... worked fine for like a day...then the same thing except this time it won't start no matter how many times i turn the key. so i had someone help me jump the battery and start the car worked instantly.

so next day got the battery changed and i hoped it was the end of my problems... worked good for like a few days then when i went to the store to buy something and came back my car wouldn't start... no matter how many times i turned the key. my mechanic came and helped me do a pop cluctch start techinque.

we got to his place and he saw that there was a little metal clamp thing that was loose. he tightened it and i started my car up a couple of times flawlessly. and it worked for like 1 day.

today i went to get a haircut and came out and car won't start..

so had to pop clutch again. Got home turned off and on the car a couple of time. and it struggled one time and turned on. then i turned it off and tried to turn it on but it wouldn't start. so i pop clutched it again. -_-

so bascially i changed the battery and starter... what else could be wrong with it? alternator? wires?

The first place to look would be the battery. Some auto parts stores will check it free. If the battery is good, move to the alternator. If the alternator is charging and the battery is good, then check for a short/break in wiring. Why doens%26039;t my honda crx sometimes doesn%26039;t start up?
yeah for sure first thing is to have the charging system checked which can be done for free

if it turns out to be the alt then there you go

if not then let me know and ill see if i cant diagnose the problem i used to have a 89 rex with the ls swap

so just let me knowWhy doens%26039;t my honda crx sometimes doesn%26039;t start up?
I'd go to the alternator next once the battery and starter have been ruled out. You shoulda went to the alternator right after the battery though.

Quick and easy way to test the alternator is to turn the car on and let it warm up. Once it's warmed up and idling normally, disconnect the negative battery cable with the car still running and be sure to put a nice electrical load on the car (A/C, radio, headlights,etc...) If the car continues to run then your alternator is fine. If it dies, well then, obviously a new alternator is in need.
