Replace 98 Blazer starter solenoid?

I'm thinking I have a bad starter solenoid in my 98 blazer. Good battery, even tried to jump it just in case. When I turn the key there is a solid click noise but nothing else. Good power, radio works, lights work etc. I had the same issue on a riding mower and it ended up being the starter solenoid on that. Granted, it was much easier I presume to change it out on the mower. I haven't the slightest idea of what I would be getting myself into with the car. Can anyone give me a how-to on getting to and changing the starter solenoid on a 98 Blazer for someone who doesn't know technical terms? I'd rather not pay someone to do it for me if I can do it myself, I just don't know how or what to start with. Thanks!Replace 98 Blazer starter solenoid?
To start with disconnect you + wire from battery next go to starter

loosen large wire then remove the support bracket at front of starter

next at the bottom back off starter remove the two bolts that go up

through the starter and in to block then wiggle starter until it hangs down on large wire remove left %26amp; right small nuts and wires finish

taking of the large nut for wire and remove starter. If you have a advance

auto parts store they will test it for you as i believe you need a starter

if not it is the best way to replace your solenoid at the bottom front of it

one small screw and two large philip screws left and right then two

small bolts on front of starter that lets the nose con come off and

you have 3/16 strait pin to remove then you can remove solenoidReplace 98 Blazer starter solenoid?
Its your starter that's bad,let an experienced mechanic change it.There are a few wires that if you cross will not work right, and on a blazer there isn't allot of room.Replace 98 Blazer starter solenoid?
If you're not mechanically inclined, it's best to let a mechanic do it. In most cases, it's almost the same price for a rebuilt starter as it is for a solenoid by itself.

A shop should charge you about one hour labor for a starter change. Probably two for a solenoid change.
